Lochbuie"
Origin of Name: MacGhille Eoin (Gaelic) - means "Son of the Servant
of John". The clan takes its name from the son of (Mac) Gillean (Ghille
Eoin).
Motto: Vincere vel Mori (Latin) - means "To Conquer or Die".
Lands: Lochbuie, Isle of Mull. 
Arms : Quarterly: 1st argent, a lion rampant gules; 2nd or, a
lymphad, sails furled, oars in saltire sable, flagged gules, in base vert
a salmon naiant proper; 3rd or, a dexter hand fessways coupled gules,
holding a cross-crosslet fitcée azure; 4th azure, a tower embattled argent
masoned sable.
Translation: Upper Left - a silver background with a red lion, unrestrained;
Upper Right - a gold background with a black galley, red flag, sails furled
and oars crossed, in a green sea with a salmon fish; Lower Left - a gold
background with a red armored right hand sideways, cut off, gripping a
small blue cross; Lower Right - a blue background with a silver embattled
tower, black mortar joints.
Clan Badge: a branch of laurel and a branch of cypress in saltire,
surmounted of a battleaxe in pale, all proper.
Plant Badge: Blaeberry (also Bramble)
